Alexandra Trofimova, a faculty member of the General Piano Department at the Higher School of Music of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), visited the People's Republic of China in accordance with a cooperation agreement with Hulunbuir University.
During her visit, Alexandra Grigoryevna conducted masterclasses for students of the music faculty, presenting modern methodological approaches to piano instruction. Special attention was given to the interpretation of classical repertoire and the development of students’ expressive performance skills. In addition, she served as a jury member for the preliminary round of the I International Performing Arts Competition-Festival “Symphony of Kindness,” the final stage of which will be held in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). As a result of the auditions, gifted young musicians from China were selected, demonstrating a high level of professional training.
The visit marked an important step in the development of cultural and educational cooperation between Yakutia and China, opening new opportunities for creative collaboration, exchange of experience, and professional growth for both students and teachers. A reciprocal visit by a representative of Hulunbuir University to the Higher School of Music of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is planned in the near future as part of a similar academic exchange program.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the partnership, including the implementation of joint projects, organization of festivals, and expansion of academic cooperation formats.
